Miniature medal attachment 1/8″ bronze star. The 1/8″ bronze star denotes additional awards for unit, campaign, service and engagement awards on miniature medals. The bronze service star is also affixed to the parachutist badge to denote participation in a combat parachutist jump and the freefall parachutist badge to denote participation in a combat military freefall jump. A campaign star is worn to denote participation in designated campaign. A battle star is worn to denote participation in designated battles.   Worn by the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) on the AE specialty badge. Insert the star at the bottom of the badge.
